International Collaboration on Information and Decision Support for Potato Late Blight 24 May, 2007 In 2007, Web-Blight will bring day to day information on the first occurences and the development of potato late blight in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Upload of data will follow a new procedure in 2007. Please contact your country editor for further information. From 2005 upload of data for evaluation of host resistance to Phytophthora infestans was changed to Eucablight. You can still find results from earlier years about host resistance in Web-blight. Extended DSS validation is not carried out in 2007. You can see an example on results by selecting Extended DSS validation and then select Ireland on the map. Objectives:

• To manage and operate networks for collaborative Internet based late light decision support components.
• Improve existing and new Internet (and PC) based late blight decision support systems and secondly to speed up this process. This can be done by international collaboration in general and by taking advantage of collecting and analysing similar data from many countries in Europe.
• Web blight should be a test site for new Internet based decision support components related to the control of potato late blight.

Applications will be developed for International collaboration in the areas of late blight monitoring, evaluation of crop resistance using data from variety observation trials and evaluation of results from field trials for validation of late blight decision support systems.
